Battleaxe

Brothers of the field,
raise your axes, raise your shield.
Fight for beard and beer,
stay strong, abandon fear.

The best weapon to fight?
a dagger is too light,
the sword, a longer knife,
axe means honor, means life.

Double blade, basically two in one,
orcs heads be gone,
you can throw it, if you have a spare,
or if you are badass and dont care.

Like small trees a meaty harvest,
the parties after are the best,
the battleaxe a worthy tool,
if the campfire needs fuel,

Easily converted to a shield,
when the tavern gets a battlefield.
It can everything a sword can do,
but better, which is surely true.

A symbol for the dwarfen fighter,
an axe is a legend writer.
Dragons be aware,
rise fellow men, for warfare.

Carry your axes to the field,
there is honor to yield.
The beauty of an axe’s swing,
a poem to what dwarves sing.
