Water

A magnificient element, a power of nature,
raw, breathtaking and pure.
Wherever water is, there is life,
subordinated to the water’s rule it can thrive,

water is forming civilization and culture,
dictating borders and life source for sure.
underwater, if you dare to dive,
another world is coming alive.

Fish playing and hushing around,
turtles sailing without a sound,
riffs and cliffs, colourful yet strange,
with every tide, a strong change,

Where water is, prosperity can be found,
it is a life essential compound,
oceans far and wide, unlimited range,
with waves they constantly change,

Crossing water meant change for human kind,
some of them are historically assigned.
Like Caesars crossing of the Rubicon river,

The viking invadors took whatever they find,
so water is threat and blessing combined,
water, a force of nature, with a cold shiver,

The discovery of America is as well on my mind,
afterwards the age of colonization primed,
water shaped us, overall, as a taker, and a giver.
