Molybdenum is a refractery metal,
which means a high melting point,
it is not easy to unsettle,
as an alloying element, it will not disappoint.
In a chemical view,
its similar to tungsten most of the time,
Vanadium is like this too,
yet it is not available so fine.
Pure Moly as it is usually named,
is mostly used for certain steel,
beneficial properties are gained,
but it is for itself a big deal.
As a flat screen protection,
you find it on every TV screen,
with a slight market price affection,
since the time I was a teen.
It is found in enzymes as well,
mostly in bacteria,
so is it in the tooth emanel,
for mammal cells of important criteria.
So another metal in our daily life
the concentration in our body is low,
helping milk industry strife,
caramel, choclate, café latte and so
Paired with sulfur it is a proper heating element,
for heavy industry furnace heating,
even at high temperatures hardly bent
for civilization a necessary thing.
Catalysis with molybdenumsulfide,
is a possible future application,
lets see if it is far or wide,
Molybdenum got my appriciation.
So Moly is a surface protector
its heavy and heat resistant,
it is a sulfide collector,
and therefore for all of us important.
