Tungstenturtle Poetry

A metal long known,
early to humanity shown.
Heavy and not very rare,
born from radioactivity there.

Each decomposition row,
has a lead isotope to show,
stable at their very end,
the reason why is at hand.

With eigthy-two protons stabilized,
a magical number is arrived,
Heavy, high bonding energy,
a garant for high stability.

Lead is easy to reduce,
and in first cultures it was of use.
Pots and vases in antique civiltation,
especially needed for bronze variation.

Tubes of lead already in the Roman Empire,
to fulfill the cities water supply desire.
The author Vitruv understood the health issue,
that unfortunately turned out to be true.

It is harmful for inner organs and fertility,
and for water organisms it shows high toxicity,
Beside of that, lead had some impact to humanity,
it was the amunition in an middle age armory,

For a long period of time,
lead could as most important not ferrous metal shine.
Protection against radioacitivity,
batteries for storeageable electricity,

A central role it played in Alchemy,
and in the gold transformation theory,
similar in weight only required a colour transformation,
a philosopher’s stone for transmuation.

Lead can tell the fortune of the next year,
decided from the figure that will appear,
poured into water after molten from a candle flame,
it tells you about financials, love and next years fame.

Lead is still on duty out there,
but now treated with respect and care.
In brazes and alloys,
abandoned from tubes and children toys.

A companion for humanity,
both civil and military,
protector and weapon the user decides,
and some breath of mystery it hides
