Once again I was surprised,
not shaken to the ground,
for spilling coffee it sufficed,
following morning duty round,

Half awake, with some curiosity,
I recognized it with some delay,
through my significant others furiosity,
what the radio speaker had to say.

As a consequence of a phone call,
a red card given to an athlete,
deserved from a considered fowl,
causing a huge scandal gate,

To think of, that a worldwide event,
in peaceful competition,
where so much effort was spent,
to garant an international mission,

destroyed and neglected,
standing above the ruleset,
in the end it was to be expected,
if Trump is involved everyone loses the bet.

Politicians could learn fair play,
but they need to corrupt everything,
delivered on a silver tray,
becoming that disgusting king,

I hope for a big bykott,
the whole spectacle a farce,
for sportmanship a riot,
against that outdated arse.

The red card is all yours,
the recognition of your action,
out of the game, behind shut doors,
Mr. President, your well deserved affection.

Not the biggest fan of soccer. But an international event, hosted from Mexico, Canada and the USA at the same time. Including Iran, altough in an on / off war situation, peaceful, without any significant riots. And now this?
