Tungstenturtle Poetry

Challenging it is, they say,
be strong, it will be okay.
For economy, they pray,
covered corruption and decay,

Fifty percent of my salary,
is quite a tax fee,
but generates an opportunity,
as far as I can see,

for those who have less,
and I have to confess,
I can stand a certain stress,
but the system is quite a press,

how, I would like to understand,
in quite a rich country and land,
with taxes high, no money in the end,
neither for social system or to defend.

Important projects delayed,
not even ensured emergency aid,
and probably I am afraid,
we just got the tip of the Damocles blade.

Is it corruption, or ignorance,
or our overenthusiastic tolerance,
that we seem to be out of chance,
not finding a work life balance.

Europe, bastion of justice and freedom,
where has your spirit gone
why are we are hiding instead of going on,
look at the wealth and status we won,

Is it clever to stick to the automotive industry?
Shouldn’t we take the opportunity,
for green evolution and liberty,
and stand up, that we can free.

The age of egoism is now,
again kings to whom we shall bow,
that we should never allow,
there is to be an alternative somehow

To step up for those wo are in need,
to use money not to satisfy greed,
but for those who work and bleed,
for those who care and seed,

Clever people we once have been,
opportunities we have seen,
fought brave and keen,
from wars freed and clean.

The crown belongs to the treasure bin,
we are now proud democratic kin,
I am sure we have this within,
that whatever time might bring we win.
