Tungstenturtle Poetry

Rhenium is very rare,
but if you look right it is there.
Hidden alongside copper ore,
the demand is growing more and more.

As tungsten’s neighbor hard and dense,
they are sibilings in this sense.
Produced with powder metallurgy,
where it sets its power free.

It is added to enhance,
to improve and to advance.
Higher temperature resistance in turbine material,
where efficiency is real.

With tungsten machinability,
improved as well as ductility.
Very nice for resistivity,
or temperature stability.

Processed as wires and filaments,
where oxygen it withstands-
Rhenium catalysis organic chemistry,
combinded with corrosion resistancy.

As well as against nitrogen and sulphur,
Rhenium really prefers to stay pure.
This year it is a celebrity,
three scientists made the discovery

Otto Berg and the Noddack pair,
a good teamwork there.
Very difficult to identify,
especially without a method to rely.

In this sense, for the community,
let us enhance scientifically.
Strengthen us with collaboration,
creative to new innovation.

Happy birthday Rhenium, you precious metal!. We still need to figure out your full potential, so lets be excited about new advances!
