it concentrates in clay and dust.

In meteors much more found,
it is simply not earth bound.
It was discovered from Tenannt,
dissolving of Platinum did not work as planned.

Not in aqua regia,
the metal dissolving superstar.
Caustic soda, hypochloric acid later,
he was a metal rainbow creator.

Still undissolved, it was clear,
a new metal was found here.
The difficulty of dissolution,
led to a simple conclusion.

Extreme corrosion resistant,
made it very significant.
Against seawater in the deep sea,
or sparks at two-thousand degree.

Iridium does not care,
altough it is so rare.
Silicon single crystal production,
microchips and semi-conduction.

Deep sea pipelines,
in high pressure lines.
Necessary for white OLED light,
and hydrogen photocatalysis right.

High temperature cruciable,
solid, hard and stable.
Iridium shows what it can,
historically used for the tip of a fountain pen.

A tough rainbow so to say,
made from xeno-clay.
It can hot, it can pressure,
rainbow resistance, a good measure.
