Altough not silvester night,
to everybody a new year upright.
Health and sanity to every reader,
courage to every political leader.

To make things right this year,
to end war and fear,
violent nonsense killing,
for dialogue willing.

I wish for peace and diplomacy,
for care and democracy.
I wish for a wind of change,
but this year it feels strange.

In a single week so much went wrong,
you could fill with that a song,
So let us be strong,
to endure all the crisis prolong.

Stay upright with an honest wish,
that we do not share bullets but a dish,
and talk and solve conflicts civilized,
with no radical ideology sympathized.

To everyone out there,
be kind and fair,
Share love and stay strong,
a new year just begun.

Carry hope in your heart,
let it be of you a part,
Keep a free mind,
be kind to those fooled and blind.

It is a new year after all,
chances are tall,
