Chromium is a disco queen,

A transition metal but beautiful,
a silver shine, pure chromium.

It makes the ruby red,
without it would be colourless instead,
and the emerald green,
the shiniest colours ever seen.

Isolated from Luis Nicolas Vauquelin,
the first man who got the metal clean.

Chromium decorates metal parts,
and is part of colours in arts.
