Competition

Humans share along most cultures a tradition,
probably survival instinct tricked,
what I mean is competition,
some sort of artificial conflict,

It is a special form of comparing,
usually action related,
if a lot of people are caring,
some event is created.

The question behind is of a simple matter,
best clarified in a direct duel,
who might be better,
who can society damn to hell.

Competition in every sport,
best if less people are desired,
athlets who battle in all sorts,
the winners appreciated and admired.

Like in olympic games,
a replacement for battle,
coordinated festival frames,
or for any conflict to setlle.

In competition is dedication,
and hopefully love and joy,
it knows a lot of variation,
known to every girl and boy.

Competition can be invented,
it can be placed uppon one,
some are probably unintended,
some without clarification gone.

Once with my cousin I competed,
who would be the better pokemon trainer,
in matches equally defeated,
after years, one day, without a complainer,

no one cared anymore,
we both grew, so ambitions changed,
I know deep to my core,
I would defeat her, if a test would be arranged.

Winning competition might bring us fame,
emotion, excitement, exult
if our favorite wins, satisfaction is what we gane,
in teamsports it is like a cult,

It is our nature, we can not escape,
live competition wherever you like,
forced competition feels like rape,
against this you should strike.

There is no wrong, no unfitting,
noone is a looser at all,
do what you love, no quitting,
and no matter how small,

every progress is a win,
every step a gain,
competition, the nature of our kin,
in not winning, there is no shame.

Every winner needs a competitor,
so who would he be, if no one compared,
like a modern gladiator,
it is the rush they desire while they spared.
