Tungstenturtle Poetry

This metal is part of the lanthanoides,
high radioactivity to instability leads.
As a metal gray and silvery,
like the metal magnitudy.

So another standard theme?
Not quite, the oxide is grass green.
An interesting colour one might say,
not so good for dying clay.

Glas was tried, but costs to high,
zirconia you might dye.
After burning a nice orange tone,
only with Praseodymium alone.

From colour it got its name,
quite funny but not a shame.
Prasinos means leek,
in good old ancient greek.

Didymos discribes a twin,
logic, lanthanoides are quite akin.
Carl Auer von Welsbach named Neodymium,
alongside with Praseodymium.

Still a special element,
not too often in earth‘ solid belt.
It is used for laser application,
long lasting f-orbital exictation.

Used to alloy magnesium to strengthen it,
it might get radioactive a bit.
In wind turbines it is getting relevant,
magnetic improvement, quite significant.

Another grey metal, but not quite that,
it has the one or other facette.
Which makes it unique and nice,
may with it, a greener future arise.
